I am infatuated with all things classic. The drama, glamour, fashion, postures, and ideals of the time periods ranging from the 1920’s up to 1980 entice and inspire me. I like to draw and paint classic icons in moments that strike me as beautiful. Sometimes when I am watching a movie I feel moved to paint a particular frame due to the emotions that are present, the energy of the scene, or the way the light has been handled. I paint these scenes using my own interpretations of their energy.
